latest news - FINALLY BACK AT WESTGATE LIBRARY FROM FEBRUARY
2021 NATIONAL WINNERS
Picture
INSPIRATIONS WRITERS GROUP members had a great celebration meeting at Pierremont Hall, Broadstairs this Saturday after receiving the news that our GREEN ANTHOLOGY is the:

2021 NATIONAL WINNER of the Denise Robertson Anthology award for best group anthology, orgnaised by the National Association of Writing Groups NAWG)  An awesome achievement especially at a national level.

The meeting format was a change from the usual working session. After the inital welcomes and confirmation of the award. Members were presented the group's award Certificate and engraved silver platter. Members organised photos, then enjoyed the  celebratory chocolate cake and prosecco.
We were joined by two new interested people and  Jill smith, head of Isle writers, another Thanet based writing group who are celebrating their 20 year anniversary.

Inspirations Writers Group is pleased to announce we have space for a few new writers at this time.
We limit membership to 30 and with a few moving on to pastures new (excuse the cliché) we can accept requests to join for those interested who write.
If you are interested/or know someone else who might be. It costs £10 per year to become am member.
For that you receive:
  • Access to our private FB pages for general discussion and critiquing of your work.
  • Membership in the National Association of Writing Groups where you can get info on all their competitions, courses and retreats, plus the ability to submit your own work for consideration. (Usual cost £25 per person.)
  • Attendance at our monthly meetings, held on the 4th Saturday of every month.
  • The opportunity to have your own writer Bio on our Website to attract readers.
  • The ability to submit work to our anthologies, usually for free.
Not bad for a tenner a year.

You don't have to be published, though some of us are, all you have to do is write and want to improve and share your knowledge in a supportive group setting.
Please pass this on to someone who may be interested, but remember we only have a few places and its a first come basis.
The committee reserves the right to accept, or refuse applications, as per our constitution.

All ages and genres are welcome
